Concepts Behind Latest Work

This is one of many variations on the same theme. The figure’s shadow has horns, signifying the person’t true nature which is revealed when they’re put under a bright light:

This was an “automatic painting”—-that is, I just rolled a brush over a surface and this showed up. I only added the red and some white to enhance the ear and neck:
