These are sketches which are blended with water instead of the traditional means of blending. It’s similar to watercolor pencil.

The water-soluble pencils blend smoothly and easily. The same effects can be achieved with standard pencils. This is just another option with its own distinct possibilties. I have a few ideas for making use of the drip patterns.

This is one of many variations on the same theme. The figure’s shadow has horns, signifying the person’t true nature which is revealed when they’re put under a bright light:
